Mayor Lim pinasalamatan; City hall exec, employees, OsMa doctors pinapurihan!

NOONG nakaraang taon ay dumulog sa atin si Gng. Elvic A. Gomez, 35 yrs old, residente ng #4 Canada Street, Upper Banlat, Tandang Sora, Quezon City.

Sa kanyang liham para kay Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim ay kanyang ipinadla sa atin at itinampok natin sa pitak na ito noong Octber 15, 2010.

Hiningi ni Gng. Gomez ang tulong ni Mayor Lim na tulungan siyang maipagamot ang ‘di karaniwang karamdaman na kanyang taglay, isang uri ng sakit sa balat na kung tawagin ay ‘psoriasis’.

Muli siyang lumiham sa atin upang ipaabot ang kanyang taos-pusong pasasalamat kay Mayor Lim sa mabilis na pagtugon sa kanyang hininging tulong.

Nais rin niyang pasalamatan ang chief of staff ng alkalde na si G. Ric de Guzman at ang mga empleyado sa Office of the Mayor, pati na ang mahuhusay at mababait na doctor sa Ospital ng Maynila (OsMa) na tumulong sa kanya. Narito po ang kanyang liham:

“Dear Sir Percy,

This is in reference to my open letter for Mayor Lim which was published on your co-lumn last October 15, 2010. I was the one who was asking for medical assistance at Ospital ng Maynila.

Pleased to inform you sir, that I am having my regular check ups there since Dec. 1, 2010, and still going.

I hope it wouldn’t be too much for my asking if I can extend my sincerest gratitude, first; to Mr. Ric de Guzman, COS of Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim who personifies the true essence of what a public servant is, treating each and everyone fairly, letting us sit and wait for our turn to be accommodated in his table, be it that we have carry a special note or none. Also, I admire his addressing those that were in coats and ties, and those in their slippers the same ‘Sir/Madam’. Truly, a public servant.

Hats-off too to the front desk staff of the Office of the Mayor, because in my 20 minutes of waiting in the lobby, I saw how their patience was for attending painstakingly and patiently to persistent, insistent and sometimes, a bit rude constituents.

I will always be indebted to Mayor Alfredo Lim and the City of Manila for not limiting its service to the Manilenians.

Also, I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to the doctors of Ospital ng Maynila - Derma Department - particularly to Dr. Aileen Morales and Dr. Jema Fajardo Bautista who accommodated me inspite of my being a non-Manila resident.

Though I hadn’t been able to undergo PUVA (machine still needs some repairs), they have provided me with the maintenance medicines and the encouragements I so badly needed to recover faster.

Also, they had encouraged me to join a support group, which has given me the inspiration to join Psoriasis Philippines (PsorPhil) wherein I was warmly welcomed by its founder, Mr. Josef de Guzman, and its members, and I am pleased to inform you too, that I am currently 1 of the Junior Moderators of PsorPhil.

Lastly, my highest regard to the person who made all this possible by accommodating my humble letter in his column. I wouldn’t be able to step forward to reclaim the normalcy in my life if you hadn’t given me the chance to reach out to the right people.

Reaksiyon pa sa mga bastos na staff ng RP Embassy sa Tokyo
